Try a factory reset first. From the user manual:

While pressing the three lower left buttons in the RHYTHM GROUP section (JAZZ & SWING, BALLROOM & SHOW and LATIN & WORLD) at the same time, turn the POWER button on. (Note that, in this case, all programmable settings, functions and memories return to their factory preset status.)

Format the SD Card on the KN2600... but formatting is not enough. You have to also save something from the keyboard onto the SD card (save anything), so that it will contain the file structure.

KN24PRG.DAT - the size of this file on your PC after extracting it from the zip is 3.58mb.

Put KN24PRG.DAT on the SD card.

Your card should now contain these:

PRIVATE (a folder)
KN24PRG.DAT (the update file)

With the keyboard off, insert the SD Card.

Hold down the first four panel memory buttons and turn on the keyboard.

I hope it helps but it doesn't seem to be working for you.

It all looks correct.

I will be visiting JD5live on 2nd Feb. We'll try it on our KN2600 then and let you know what happens (at least we'll run the checks). Unless John has chance to try it before then.

Hi Howard.

Looks like the updatefile is saved into the folder "Private" ?
It should be in root, outside the folder according to the "How to do" manual.
In that case you would see the file where you see the folders at left, at same level as the Private folder, beside it, but not in it.

I think if it was inside the PRIVATE folder we would see the TECHNICS folder on the right too. It seems to be in the correct place I think.

You're probably correct Mike, but if you see the top name above the right window, it say "Private"
Is the name of the card "private" as well?

Name of card is underscores [on the top left _________(H:)] so it should be fine I think.
