Agree. I had a female singer knocked unconscious from grabbing a mic stand on stage. The memory of seeing her laying there (we thought she was dead) haunts me to this day. I'm still paranoid about touching one of those shiny steel (chrome?) mic stands.

My solution to this age old problem has always involved the process of elimination and determining the offending connection then taking an appropriate step to eliminate that problem safely.
