I liked a lot about the EA7, but there were too many compromises to suit me. No text display, no real Break/fill, tiny screens, no vocal harmonizer, ugly wall wart power supply, limited guitar sounds. . .and more. It does sound good though, and I love many of the Roland styles. All the old ones worked fine, with a little adjusting.

Thanks Donny, This is actually the first EA-7 demo that I enjoyed. The Style was great. All the other demos I heard so far made the EA-7 sound tinny. I thought to myself why is Donny giving up the great sounding PA4X for this tinny sounding EA-7. Now I get it Eric

Eric thanx,......most Ea7 demos are being used with onboard speakers hence the tinny sound as with most arrangers speakers,....but if you EQ CORRECTLY AND PlUG IT INTO A QUALITY SOUND SYSTEM LIKE A MAUI 5 OR 28 ETC, ...LET ME TELL YOU IT SOUNDS AS GOOD AS ANYTHING ON THE MARKET...it certainly can hold its won against the big boys if you know how to set it up...I have been singing with a TC helicon harmony singer hooked top the Ea7 for FX & VH and it sounds really good with my system..for all else I use a laptop also, lyrics if needed,etc,..the EA7 has a great Smf Mp3 player & superior makeup editing tools and sampling too, multipads, & I am getting used to using two displays too it makes sense also ....it's keeping my excitement and interest level up there,....glad I held back on whats on the market NEW for now...not saying I wont add another arranger or whatever down the road if it excites me,....but for the money, sound, features, lightweight, all the buttons, sliders, etc, & navigation for playing live its a winner for me. Enjoy what you buy and play..

I really envy your ability to be able to buy and sell your keyboards so easily. I used to love being able to try out new gear, then be able to sell it, when I tired of it. Alas those days are long gone. Trying to sell, all too hard.
