Zuki after you get the Pa4x the 3x will be a thing of the past......you will never look back yes it's that much better the the Pa3x in so many ways..sound, style, editing, display, navigation,KAOSS, play ability, dive in, dig deep, make it your own, and create music like you never have before,.....hurry!
No dumb questions here.......I would have to order a 4X to try. No one stocks high end around these parts.

Just curious on why you gave up on it? Too much board for your needs, etc?
Zuki I had two Pa4x units, ......best arranger kb I have ever played.. it's ALL PRO for gigging... Needs did change, I reassessed my priorities, and restructured my rig for what I am doing now. That's not to say down the road I won't have to do it again.;) But for now I am happy. I would recommend the KORG Pa4x to anybody who is serious about their music,....they really addressed the NEEDS of the Pro player this time. Good luck to you.

PA4X is a HUGE improvement over the 3X. New sound engine, many new sounds, every style improved...MUCH more. You won't regret it. I've hand mine for about two years and still learning things.

Actually the ea-7 is a budget pa4x, it really is, if it wasn’t for the low end keybed, i would own one...

I may have posted this in another section of SZ. I had no interest in a Pa4x because I had a 3x and was very satisfied with it. A year later after all the discussion here, I went to Frankieve’s store to demo that bad boy. The only mistake I made was I left without taking one home that same day and had to make another 200 mile round trip to pick up my 4x-76. You’re gonna love it!

Interesting.....I thought about this, because I don't use the sliders or VH. But that fixed screen and the keys - what other board are the keys similar too?

Don you forgot to tell them..all that for less $$ then a genos too....just sayin..
Hi Zuki, Currently I still have both, though, I will be selling my pa3x shortly, we’re planning on downsizing homes, so need to sell a keyboard or two.
Even though I’m only a hobbyist, I feel Pa4x has more to offer. Sound quality is better. Direct play is extremely handy. Being able to just copy and paste styles is great, makes organising styles so much easier.
You really should try and get your hands on one, to appreciate the difference.
Hi Zuki, what didn’t you like about the 1000? And yes , more than happy to send you my style database. I was keen on getting a Pa4x, Don managed to reinforce the fact I needed one. Haha Great keyboard,
I had a Tyros 2 and a PSR-S910.... but used the Motif ES to sequence full arrangements from scratch.
Then I went through a few for a gigging option to playback files while giving me good sounds to play along.
Roland BK-9 Korg Pa900 Yamaha PSR-970 Korg Pa4X
By far, the Pa4X sounds the best (to me) all around. The Maxx Audio stuff... better outputs... keybed feel... overall construction of the “Made In Italy” instrument... and the sounds are great!!
I love the Pa4X but I will have something else in my near future!! I wish I could keep both... best of both worlds but I need to sell things to get things... room and budget are factors. Good luck with your choice!!

Jon wise move to keep the KORG Pa4x it can do it all...
No fill tabs No EC5 connection Less styles Less sounds <1GB rom vs 5.1 GB rom Less user sample memmory Lower quallity keybed Lower build quallity (housing) No drawbars/sliders Lower quallity D/A converters. No MAXX audio mastering effects Less DSP (2 inserts for songs and 2 master effect)
looks like a quite extensive list.. Most of these things i use frequently on my PA4x..
