But as you know, this is not any new feature at all, it is, and has been like this at many keyboards for a long time, not only at Rolands.

Yeah Donny, I'm surprised you didn't know that (or thought it was unique). ???????

chas

Of course I know of this style feature in chord structure...
many have it but ROLAND does it better then anyone else IMO..
I'm always hearing things going on within the styles when I'm changing chords, or inversions, turnarounds, modulations, etc, etc, ever since my early Roland days with the RA90, G1000, EM2000, G70, E50,E60, Bk5, units etc,.. ...these things really inspire your playing.....

Donny, I am going to get on your case.... smile

You edited this EA7 style in Mixcraft .. didn't you?

You have a knack for cutting out the low frequencies and bringing the high frequencies to a bit of harshness...

In this style demo it lost it's character... dynamic loss is noticeable when I compared the same style played on the G70..

This style with the 36 measure intro and ending... sounds way better than the Yamaha offering posted..

Why not record direct from the EA7 .... don't edit the eq, and let the folks here how it was designed to be heard..

Maybe it is your monitor system or those aging ears catching up to Gary grin

I know you prefer less bass and you like bright highs... maybe too much for average listeners..

Give it another go.... I can recall it sounded better to my good ear than your demo.. grin

Fran that sounds way more "fuller". It would have been better if you didnt say what keyboard it was from to leave people guessing smile its just as good if not better than anything that a current keyboard can produce.
