The 2nd S1 showed up about three hours ago. I hooked the two units up to the Genos in stereo.

I’m in a den room about 12 x 15. I put one speaker on the floor next to me and the other on the other side of the Genos. Wish I could show a picture but I haven’t figured out how to do that on 5his forum.

Sound was as I expected, awesome. I could hear the separate style parts in stereo. It is like I’m surrounded in sound...wonderful. It’s like having headphones on but that same sound live. 😁

At best, I’m running maybe 20% of capacity Bose and Genos in this small setting. That means I don’t know how this would work in a larger setting. I’m guessing it would be great in a smaller setting...maybe up to 50 folks or so. But then in a larger room as well?

Love the small footprint and ease of handling. $1,200 for a stereo system does get a persons attention. 🤪

More later.

Again, Happy Birthday Dave.

Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see the pics and how it sounds on your jobs? Are you performing?

First gig back, after hip replacement, will be next week. A dining room with about 30 - 40 folks. I’ll use both S1’s.

Also, I just ordered two of these stands.

https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/...er-stand-single

This will be a good test for the S1 and Genos for that matter. I’ll decide on the second Bose after that gig.

The Genos plus S1(x2) is a very pricey way to go...hard to justify $$$ wise if I did this to make a living. I’m counting on my gigging to pay this off.

I can see now though that the Genos/S1 combo could keep me content for the rest of my playing days.

This afternoon, I put in a good three hours Genos+two S1’s in stereo....just playing for my own enjoyment.

😊

Yamaha Genos + Bose S1 + Bose S1 = An under 60 lbs stereo powerhouse.

don't forget besides a keyboard & two speakers of this type, you also have to carry two speaker stands, mic stand or boom,
a keyboard X stand, good cases for all, folding seat or drum stool etc,, mixer, music stand, laptop, or ipad, accessory bag for wires, cables, mics, pedals, etc, Rock N Roller cart too..
