Looks and sounds like a great keyboard. If I were still gigging with a band that and a Hammond clone on top would be fantastic. So many great things out there today.

Gee, how many times can music companies re-invent the wheel?
For 2300 bucks you can get a KRONOS and have alot more sounds then that.

Interesting. A lot of guys over on Keyboard Corners seem to like the same configuration but that wouldn't work for me. Because of Arthritis, etc., I play a lot of LH (organ) bass, especially on medium and up-tempo songs (as opposed to pedals) and playing LH bass with the KB elevated that high would give me extreme shoulder fatigue in about 3 minutes. Space permitting, I could only use it in a "L" configuration, and for the most part, use them separately (ala Lucky Peterson, et al). In fact, if I were gigging, I probably wouldn't even use this board, but instead, something smaller and lighter that would fit comfortably on top of my KeyB (pretty much like I have now with the VP770). OTOH, if your orientation is more towards piano/Rhodes than organ, I can understand it.

Just random thoughts, but if you DO use a two-KB setup, how do you determine which keyboard occupies the top or bottom position? Just curious.

Sometimes the appeal of a certain keyboard reaches beyond how many sounds it has, not the least of which is the quality of the sounds you're mainly interested in. That said, I love nearly everything about the Kronos and don't really know why I never bought one (I still may smile ).

Going back to the B3 days I had the Rhodes on top but then with my first Hammond clone the organ went on top of the Rhodes. I agree LH bass is a lot easier on the lower board but did you ever notice how much the Gospel players play LH on the upper Manuel ?
If I was to use the Seven I wouldn't bother with those spindly legs but put it on a table style stand with adjustable height.

I agree who knows how many reused OLD stock parts are in that thing....
so many other choices for that price point with so much more to offer like the Roland RD2000..to each their own I guess..

You do know it is designed for players that loved the Rhodes and Wurly keyboards of past... It is nostalgic... not the same built.. It is a modeled instrument..

The only folks that would understand are old Rhodes players.. smile

As for the Kronos... I passed over that a long time ago.. Same with the Montage... They lack interest to me..

The RD2000 is fine, but not the same for a Rhodes player..

That is why we have choices grin

The Seven has 9 synth engines, midi, USB , legs, case, pedal etc..

Have you priced a real new Rhodes with the same features?
