I have been using the Vent for years. It is the closest to a real Leslie, although there are other options. You can't use it on Leslie included patches, and it is best with separate aux out.

There are plenty fo quaility Hammond "clones" out there now but for doing Hammond on a multi purpose keyboard my Roland BK9 does a passable job. At least you paly with semi real drawbars and other settings like percussion unlike the boards with a fixed sample sound.

Seems to be concensus about this at the Keyboard corner where many pro Organ players discuss
Not just the sound, but also the keyfeel.

Its from the same company as the Seven EP discussed here just last week.

Of coarse, the original thread was about a relatively low priced alternative for a good Leslie sim using your own equipment. In which case, I believe the Neo- Ventilator still rules.

My new little Hammond 61 note SK comes pretty damn close...so close I'm thinking of ordering the 73.

I keep thinking that the SK is "due" for a "Mark II" version, since it's been out a while and Hammond has done so much since. Newer "tone generation" version, newer Leslie emulation, maybe some new samples/sounds?

I've had my eyes on the SK's too, but am holding out for a "Version 2" (Mark II) hopefully!
