Hi...I notice a lot of people that have Total Arrangers also keep their Yamaha Psr-970...May I ask "what are your reasons" Thanks Harold

For me there are a couple of reasons:
1. It is more light weight, compact and easy to transport. Great for small gigs where I don't need all the bells and whistles.
2. It has built in speakers. Great for practicing. I don't need to hook it up to a PA. And I can take it to a friends house.
I know that some have played real small gigs, like nursing homes with just the built in speakers.

I think from reading posts in the past this is true for several folks.

Eric

many keep it for backup purposes I would assume or a second kb to play on top also..or some prefer to gig with the smaller lighter kb and keep the TOTL unit at home..the S970 is a very capable unit.

Thanks everyone....Keep them coming...I think I understand the Voices and Styles are the same as the PSR-980? 980 having added Expansion packs...Plus being able to save your transposed settings?...Very Interesting
