I surrounded myself with good people when I first arrived at the Synthzone many, many years ago.

So true. If you think about it, being a solo performer/OMB can be a lonely pursuit. What I mean, is an arranger keyboardist isn't going to get the feedback and hopefully constructive criticism and support that ensemble players get.
I used to have a friend who was a much more experienced arranger player than me. He would come to a lot of my gigs and give me some some very good constructive criticism.
I've also recorded some gigs and sent them to some SZ members, and to my surprise they actually listened to the whole recording and gave me some very insightful feedback which I'll always be grateful for.
I've driven three hours a couple of times to see Don Mason work his magic on the keys which was a great learning experience. Wish I could make it out to Louisiana more- differently worth the drive .
In my wife's home town in Mexico, I met an incredible arranger player who taught every thing I needed to know about the Yamaha OS. Good times, with some bottles of tequila and our keyboards!
I'm so glad to have come into contact with so many good people here at SZ. We all need each other!
