Haven't heard much lately is it being improved & updated ....? What sound source is being used also.? would like to know where it at now. I see it works with a touch screen monitor also?..How many here are using vArranger in its newest form?
I have used it the every day for several years and I built the sound bank which make it possible to play the styles in the 5 formats. I have all the top keyboards Genos, PA4x, Audya, Technics, Gem etc. vA is that which I prefer even if all is not perfect. It is simply not the same thing.
VA is going forward currently at a very slow pace.. Last big chnage was the soundpacks for the specific types of style brands, which made it fully independant of a soundmodule..
But to my knowledge still no multipads support, and some other things.. Also the audio styles is still a work on yhe go.. Problem is, even tough regularly visitting the Forums I still haven’t found an easy way to find out the latest changes to the product
Keep in mind tough, the current version is on par or better soundwise and utillity wise with any hardware arranger out there. Atleast according to the current users.
The touchscreen support in the video is an interface a user developed, its as far as i know his personal setup and not available with V-arranger.
But maybe Dan is willing to give us an update about what was added in the last year, and what he is currently working on... and what features he hopes to add in the future..

Looks like Yamaha released a new sound module (V3 YAMMEX), designed to add sounds to there current arrangers. It appears some current vArranger users are experimenting with it.

Its not a yamaha product
Its released by V3sounds, a small company that makes arranger modules speecifically for accordeons...
The Yammex name indicates what to expect... samples of the main yamaha sounds we know from the yamaha brand arrangers.

Not correct. The module is designed to add new sounds to Yamaha keyboards, it does not consist of re-sampled Yamaha sounds. Go to the website www.v3sound.com. The module uses high-quality sample features and large samples.

not made to play the styles of the arrangers Yamaha, Ketron, Korg etc
No it does not... It adds new sounds to yamaha instruments, and GM2 is allready in the Yamahas.. Sorry for the confusing i caused. Altough there is a GM section of sounds this is not the main thing.. Check out the soundlist here
There are 720 sounds on board, for a total memmory size of 4GB. And 256 polyphony. And there is a special file that allows you to input these sounds in the soundlist of your YEM and use them in your yamaha arrangers quite naturally.
For everyone interested in this module, i added a translation of the written review on..
It reminds me of the Ketron modules ( SD 2,4,1000) but hopefully they are superior in overall sample quality otherwise few will branch out that amount of money for a midi-module.
Incidentally, I had words from them stating that a similar module for the Korg PA arrangers will be availabe late summer.
I wonder if you can use this module with any controller key or synth... You‘d need the midi messages to address sounds and settings...
Those are all in the manual...
But the really exciting thing is, that you can select the sounds in the same way as yamaha expansion sounds, by their default name.. this is taking integration a step further...
Some time ago Dera music in Holland sold a comparable setup for the ketron sd2 and the tyros 3/4..
To me these things that help integrate instruments are important... it works so juch better than having to type the midi program changes eacht time by hand...
