This is all coming back to me .....but I need to know how to to adjust the Pa1000 Vocal Harmony Volume to Lead ratio in other words when I turn on VH the Harmonies they are much louder then the lead vocal voice alone,....I want to somehow lower the volume of the Voc harmonies for example (Two High) when I turn them on every time to match my Lead vocal singing volume. Is using Assignable Knob 2 as mentioned in diagram the answer? or?... Is there a way to adjust the voc harmony and save as a user harmony with the correct volume to use when ever I need in different songs?...If so where do I start, KB page or menu, manual section, etc, etc, any help appreciated...

Donny You can go into menu/voice preset/choose vocal harmony from dropdown menu type then touch yellow selected harmony type. from there you can set the seperate volumes for each voice then hit upper right dropdown menu to write and name preset.Exit and then us assinable knob to ajust harmony volume. I don't know if you can disarm assinable knob but you can make another preset and name it something else llke DONNY2 and you can then choose what preset you want without touching the knob once you have that set to the correct level. After you adjust the levels and save as a USER voice preset, be sure to save the My Settings button. Otherwise when you switch on, it will revert to previous settings, at least that's the way the 4x works.

Mel I will try this as soon as I finish my breakfast...like I said its all coming back to me in time...I know I have done this many times in previous KBs.. will report back soon...
I also read this on the KORG forums..
"MIC ON and Harmony ON I turned the harmony to zero and there is no harmony ,,, but if you turn up the ( delay - reverb )all the way up you will here harmony,,so you must have your reverb up high , so try the same, harmony to zero and turn up the reverb"
Gary yes in Yamaha terminology there is a ratio adjustment...I always used -10 VH
Zuki,....VH is a powerful tool to enhance your performances....it is truly an art form that needs to be cured during a song,....talk to Uncle Dave Privately he will definitely put you on the right track to using VH effectively to boost your performances....he is a MASTER!

OK Mel reporting back after trying your direction for VH to Lead Ratio and I must say it worked like a charm I found my sweet spot at -11db which works well volume wise for Lead to Vocal harmony ratio....then name & save in preset settings in USER bank,.....then just assign that user VH preset to my songs in songbook etc,.... once again thank you sir for all your help. Now on to the next piece of homework to set up & make the Pa1000 mine.

Don't have a pa1000 yet, but curious..can you save this to all songs in songbook globally or do you have to save it one at a time? [/quote]
I'm doing it one at a time within each style/song setup in songbook..this gives me the option to use different VH settings for different songs..not sure about globaly yet?...maybe someone else can chime in..
So if you use primarily a doubler or other setting , you can lock that in along with the harmony to lead ratio..then go back and customize for other harmony parts to specific songs while maintaining ratio. I imagine unlocking/relocking would be required or a similar save function. Idea is to set most but not all to same setting without saving 300 times in songbook or registrations/presets. Last Korg I had was a pa600 but even that had many global settings as opposed to Yamahas I had later. I think that makes it easier to get started enjoying the board followed by song specific customization.
