I know mixers are taboo to some, but I will probably continue to use.

How in the world could I attach this to an Apex 48?

I am already using the mic mount and mixer too small for bars.

Suggestions appreciated

Hey thx Donny, gave me some ideas. If I stick with the 3X, I'll use the mixer, if 4X, no need.

Jim, when I used a mixer, it was positioned on the left side of the keyboard and held in place with a special rack I designed just for that purpose. I had instant access to it, and no one but me could see it.

Jim, have a look at the Mackie ProDX4 it's very small and uses your tablet/phone by Bluetooth.

You can put the mixer anywhere and keep your phone in your pocket LOL

Thanks Donny and Col and Gary,

I really like that plexiglass idea. I did a little setup with my music rack laid that way (of course, wouldn't use it) and it would work great. I'll be at Lowe's today smile

Do you remember what size/thickness you had cut?

I think it was 1/4" you don't want it to bow,............also make sure you don't cut it too deep as to block the display when looking down.....& sand down the sides/corners as it can be a bit sharp from cutting etc,..unlike aluminum you want to see through it..

Jim, I made mine from 1/8-inch aluminum - much stronger, very light and easy to work with.

I made shelves for my Apex out 3/8 plywood as I don't need to see through it.

I have used the Sonar (Roland) VS100 as a digital, small mixer. It has digital EQ, Compression, echo/verb, and a SD Card recorder/player. It has TRS balanced outs to go to my Powered Speakers. In 2010, I got it for $190 when Best Buy was getting rid of them because no one knew how to sell them. At the time, they were selling for $699 new. Eight years later... no issues. I still use it with my Genos.

I use the best mixer I have come across.. the Edirol M-10DX

Similar to Johnathan's mixer.

As you know, I had one for quite some time Fran. I prefer more knobs and sliders as opposed to so many screens. Other than that it is an amazing little mixer, and most people would love it!

I have a 'as new' Edirol M-10DX. Wasn't a good fit for my organ as I felt it sounded too 'digital' when paired with my EV 250's. I ended up using an old 16ch Samson (tube) Line mixer that is clean and sounds much more 'organic' (to me). It's available and anyone that wants it can have it cheap (otherwise I'll just give it to my grandson for his budding 'studio').

I have five mixers! Currently using this on my setup. It even plays MP3s. It has effects and an internal power supply! No wall wart.

I came across this video that shows at least part of my setup. The case I carry my pc, mixer, power supply, etc. sets on my second tier. The top of the case comes off and hangs back on the hinges, reversed to show my name on it. I had to extend the song a little because some dancers got up toward the end.

Sometimes I use the foot switch for that. It is also assigned to one of the buttons, just a couple inches from my left hand. One of the reasons I prefer the 61 key model.
Not sure why I even changed the pages, because I've known the words to that song for many years.

No, it's actually a case. It contains my laptop, mixer, power supplies, recorder, etc. The top has my name on it. I remove the top, reverse it, put it back on and it hangs down, facing the audience where they can't miss knowing who I am and exactly how important I think I am. smile
I got it from HankB years ago. Not sure but it may have been designed for pedals. Velcro sticks to the liner, so everything is secure when transporting.
There is a string of led lights attached to the bottom of the top tier and that helps illuminate the keyboard.

...........the Zed 6FX is the berries. Used it today live, sounded so good - mic (Encore) was best ever. I even had my mic gain on noon (great headroom and control). I was able to rest the Zed on top of my 3X76 (where the stick goes). Works out fine, as long as a herd of buffaloes don't come through smile
