I really enjoyed listening and watching your enthralled enthusiasm while performing Bravo....that said my only minor criticism is again the "Brass Section swipes" eg:@ 2:06,2:10, etc,. which is something a Brass section never does.I'm a stickler for playing instruments within their capacity to show realism.
Keep 'em coming Genos sounding terriffic.

Don't pay attention to DNJ, he just posted a demo where the sax player didn't take a breath for two minutes!
Our keyboards are not subject to the limitations of "ordinary" musicians, and sometimes we get carried away improvising. I know I often do.
I enjoyed this a lot!

Don the sax player was a non-union player.... Lol

Or it was Kenny G who could play forever without taking a breath ... unfortunately ...

Devils advocate here .... I actually like Kenny G, and I'm a sax player.

Legendary saxophonist (and middle-aged Justin Guarini) Kenny G set a record in 1997 for holding an E-Flat for over 45 minutes. To accomplish this, he used a technique called Circular Breathing, which keeps a steady stream of air flowing through the saxophone even as the player breathes.


Had to be a really boring concert!!

He played golf at our course once when he was in town to work a casino. Seems like a nice guy but I could take him at golf! Then, not now.

Rico never hides the fact that he is playing over a midi file ... In fact, he often gives credit to the person who created the file ...
And as for his "silly gestures", no doubt they just come from his exuberance for playing ...

How about posting a video of you doing this tune so we can do a review,

Not sure about midi files in Ricco's performance - so what? A lot on this forum use this method.

What is interesting though is the notion that Ricco might be overboard in his joy - so what? Isn't this what music is supposed to do to us?

When practice/performances become 'emotional', it is the biggest joy one can have, IMO

To me, that is one of Riccos strongest assets. The joy and enthusiasm is contagious.

Let’s understand the word improvise. The leg on my wooden table needs replacement – I replaced it with a metal one – I improvised.

What does a midi file have to do with improvising? You play the midi file and then play whatever you wish. If you change the melody and add little brown jug for a measure and then go back to the melody –
you just improvised.
