I'm a lousy musician, can't make the music I read transmit to my fingers very effectively, though I did use a lot of OTS because they usually sounded good, at least to me. And, like Don, but not nearly as proficient, I only play one lead voice at a time as well. When it came to the number of keys, I have played with 61 key arrangers for so many years that when I tried a 76 my fingers got lost. And, also like Don, I found that I mostly played the 10 to 12 keys right in the middle of the keyboard, and rarely hit any of those higher or lower notes. I'm too damned old to learn anything more complex than what I have been playing for the past 4 decades. All the best, Gary

Always been 61 for me... Although Nord's idea of 73 is interesting.. Its not Nord's idea.. There is a Kronos 73 to But i beleive this idea was all started with sequential instruments Prophet T8 what Nord does, by adding the pitch stick and wheel above the key and not to the side however makes a difference in size. And due to its position it feels actually very very natural.. Nord stage 3 compact with an SD40 Donny? its a perfect thing.. The big advantage of 76 and espescially 88 keys is having room for more then 2 parts (left right) on the keybed.. On my Kronos i prefer 4 parts when controlling an arranger -Bas to the far left -left hand chords.. -right hand voices(main) -2nd voice (top right) for solo's That just doesn't fit on a 61 key, probably not even on a 76 key
