Anyone here use or seen an arranger keyboard used in a church?

I use an arranger for Christmas and Easter specials. I used my KN7000 for years when I was the organist and music director in a small Methodist church, then moved over to the church Hammond Concord for the regular service. That is why I love small churches, you can swing it(reverently of course), and the congregation loved it. I have played many churches with big pipe organs, but I felt stilted.

Thanks for sharing your experiences Bernie. Were you playing with the audio accompaniment? Any other players or singers involved ? You definitely have my respect for playing on the church organs too. I think that would scare me to death!

Any freeware with those 18 songs or similar on that yamaha list?

I use full accomp as it was just myself, although I had a piano player with me for regular playing. The pipe organs are a bit intimidating at first, and there is latency to contend with, but you get used to it. I will admit to using presets on the big ones, however.

I used to offer special worship songs on congregations as solo or sometimes with a singer, guitarist or another instrument using Ketron Midjay or Korg PA900 and a Bose Compact L1.

The last clip is a performance my group did for a special dinner for some of the elders and shut ins of our community .

I don’t know why so many worship leaders have been asleep on these incredible instruments but I would not be able to do most of what I do or it would be much more slow and cumbersome without an arranger . All the styles and sequences you hear were created by me on the instrument . Hope you enjoy .
