Just picked up an SD40 from an individual. I updated it to the latest firmware/OS.

Among other things, it doesn't change to A while playing though it changes between B, C, and D just as noted in Dusan's post on Nov 17, 2016. Anyone else who experienced the same? If I can't get it fixed, I can still return it.

Thanks,
Chris

I try to run SD40 with my Tyros5.
Midi conection work only in Acordion mode on SD40.All ather option SD40 ignord.
It's inpasable to modeling intro and ending parts of style.
Swiching betven some main section (A;B;C;D) sometimes work properly, sometimes change section who you dont chouce.Example:
you want to change main variation from D to A,but SD40 change to B or C...
Registration cant remember with wich Intro you want to run a Style.ETC...
In one word,I buy an instrument who I cant trust for 1.500,00 Euro. Dont make the same mistake like I do...

My SD40 doesn't respond. I must have entered the wrong SysEx messages. What is the exact string of SysEx that I need to send?
F0 26 7C 67 and then what else? I tried F0 26 7C 67 7F F7. That seems to be the correct string, but the SD40 is not responding.

Also, you said to "activate tab/ sys on Midi preference." I can't find it... If you would give me a step-by step procedure to find it...

Thank you,
Chris

OK, I talked to AJ over the phone. It was the hardware issue as AJ suspected. I could change to "Arr A" by a SysEx message. He is sending me a new switch.

Chris,

Any update on your new 'switch'? Is your Arranger A button functioning well now?

Thanks,

First I want to say thank you for sending me a switch though I didn't buy it from you nor from any dealer. It was a used one that I had purchased from an individual. I am not good at soldering. So I had a guy do it for me. He replaced the switch, but the still the same issue. Then He found out that the diode right above the switch was broken. He replaced and it works great. If he didn't see the broken diode, I could have easily blamed it on Ketron, or you as a distributor. Now it works great. Thank you.
