I recorded this a few years ago, right after hearing it performed by Mel Torme while appearing on a rerun of an old Night Court TV show. He was among my favorite singers of all time, though I don't believe he got the recognition he should have for his incredible talent. Here's my rendition of Autmn Leaves This was a one shot recording on the PSR-S950, no edits other than to convert from a .wav file to an MP3. Gary

Thanks to everyone for listening and commenting. Tony, you are right about the guitar, should have been a nylon jazz guitar, but I really liked the effects of the one I selected. Looking forward to hearing more songs here on a regular basis. There is a huge talent pool here and it's nice to be able to hear your productions. All the best, Gary

Used to ride 250 cc Yamaha trail bikes with Mel in the Desert outside LA. in the early 60's. He actually demonstrated improve possibilities by having me play guitar, with him on piano. He was a hell of a piano player, and got universal appreciation from serious musicians and singers around the world. He was so good, he was confidant and kind at the same time. Same with Ray Brown and (I hear) Vince Gill.
He was the one who convinced me (by actions, not words) that what I wanted to do was not going to pay what other musical endeavors would.
A delightful person, who, in a few visits, influenced my for a lifetime.
Russ
