This video is not posted to offend, but to inform. It may be a help to those who are considering buying a Yamaha MOTL arranger, and are not sure which to get. smile

Sounds like the 970 is a great deal right now.

Both the s970 as well as the s975 are based on T5..

I think many might be wayting for a 61 key genos offspring...
With sa2 voices as well as the revo drums.. and some of the dsp power..

imo the idea of a S975 was to drive people to buy a genos..

You can purchase a package from Mexico with all the Genos samples plus all the Genos styles revoiced to these new voices. It works for the PSR S970 upwards purely because of the memory requirements.

Listening to the demos, you would not be able to tell that it is not a real Genos playing. Pity my S770 is limited on memory. At the time I did not think I would use all of it. Now, if I could afford, I would upgrade to the PSR S975 without the slightest hesitation.

Henni are you thinking of getting a genos next also?

Hi Dnj,

Currently out of my financial reach. A S975 might be more within my reach & with the Mexican voice pack it'll be a mini Genos in any case.

I have neve had a top Yamaha arranger before. From the PSR 3000 to the S950 to the S770. The S975 has enough memory to turn it into anything I want. I estimate over here in South Africa that the Genos costs at least five times as much.

Sorry, but the guy doing the review, does not have all the correct facts....
I saw that below someone asked if you can record audio to USB and he reply that was not possible, and even the PSR S670,770,970,A3000,S775 and 975 can do that.....

I have not hear that "boominest", in anyway, My guess he does not know how to adjust the EQ.
I never had that problem and play in many S970s and now in S975s and I can contour the sound in the way I want.
I assisted a 93 year old lady player (Vivian), that obviously would not want that, I adjusted for her, and by the way, she is a GREAT player, not a problem...

My 2 cents.

Manuel
