i would like to edit midi files (new instrumentation).
That is possible to change the instruments.
Can this new midi file saved ?
Do the new midi file use the new instruments ?

Yes, very easy. After changing the instrumentsa do other parameters, you can overwrite the original smf or create a new one.

one more question......
The volume is randomized. When i change the volume, the mixer has by starting the midi file not my volume.
The volume can not be saved, or do i make a mistake...

When you save the settings, choose GLOBAL so the changes are considered for the entire midifile. This will INCLUDE the setting for the volume knobs which will also be memorized.

that did not work for me.
I cannot safe my mixer settings in gm files.

I changes all volumes to 127 saved it global , override the existing file, but after loading the midi file the
volumes are randomized.

My new instruments are changed and saved , but not the volume.....

I have the same problem. When I store a midifile in the sd40, I notice that the volume setting is not good. This means that the rotary control chord affects the volume of the midifile. I have to move the chord separately when turning on the midifile, otherwise the accompaniment is often too soft. To solve?. Incidentally, even when I've edited it with the midfile editor program Optimizer or Cubase Elements.
