I recorded un rehearsed a quick capture on the BK9 using the SN Jazz guitar.. I tried different playing techniques .. I did not need or did I push any control buttons.. The reaction of the SN tones is to play normal..

It is not polished by no means.. just an illustration of what SN can do..

Imagine in the hands of someone like Don Mason, who often plays guitar parts. smile

I hope it is worth the hassle guys smile

Don I am wondering why you didn't like the guitars on the BK9?

I Have heard Diki play the SN guitars running thru an amp simulator, you would sound great with that set up..

I just played a default patch.. without any mods..

I wish I seen this video before I recorded my song... I would have tried to do some of his licks..

Fran, being a guitar most of my life I was ready to give you a fair rating. I was surprised, for that type of guitar sound your BK9 sounds like the best I have heaard.

John C.
PS, I play the same style as the man in the video, chord melody.

Love the jazz guitar, its teh same as in my integra 7...
Personally i love all the Roland SN sounds..
Where Yamaha sa2 may sound more accurate,
The Roland SN sounds feel more like playing a real instrument..

Fran, both the guitar sound and the backing sound real good. Thanks for posting that!

I don't remember saying I didn't like them. I said there were only a few I use. This is one of them. All the arrangers have good guitars these days, finally.
There is a long list of reasons I didn't stay with the EA7, including the old lack of break/fill, no text display, no vocal harmonizer. . .

Fran

Great sound and playing. That Jazz guitar is one of my go to sounds but I don't think I do it justice. Got to thin more along guitar lines and not keyboard licks.
Nice job. You may get Roland to reintroduce the BK9. Strange they dropped that and not the Bk3 or 5 or BK7m.

Looks like I won't be getting Frans BK9 as I am Fran's trickle down sloppy seconds man lol..... frown
but I'll treat him to breakfast anytime after I get to demo the Roland Bk9 at least.

It'll be available when the "BK11" or other titled keyboard (a bk9 with tilt color touch screen and vh) comes out next..
