Hey everyone - We learned a TON reading & watching the comments on our recent "BigBand" post. To keep it interesting we offer up yet another demo of the Ketron SD40. Yes, what you hear are 100% "out-of-the-box" sounds from the Ketron SD40. In this case, all sounds are what we call the "Factory" sounds. No magic EQ or "studio tricks." taking place BUT, we do have the luxury of working with an EXTREMELY talented Musician and Arranger. Over the past month or so we have demoed both Ketron styles, and more recently simply, Ketron sounds. We plan to continue that so folks can listen and make their own decision of what the Ketron SD series instruments are capable of. The beauty is you can use your Ketron in "Arranger" mode or as we prefer, as a "Sound Module." The choice is up to you. Although very unlikely, should we do some "studio magic" to alter what you hear we have no issue stating that and we would share that "detail" with you. For now, rest assured nothing you hear in this demo or any of our previously released Ketron demos are nothing more than the incredible musicianship of our good friend and partner. At the same time - we have heard your comments about "seeing" a live performance. Sounds easy to produce and release and we are working on that, and you will see something shortly. On a side note, I'm in Florida and Ric is in Pennsylvania. Let's just say we depend heavily on Dropbox to "make the magic" happen! If you don't hear from us over the next few days - Rest assured, we are VERY interested in your feedback and comments, and we will respond, but for the next few days will be on the road to run up and visit AJ for a full day session to learn more about the incredible AJAMSonic line of Ketron products. For now, Check out our latest demo.

IMO it‘s NOT live, it would be live parts combined with self-made sequencer tracks, all using the on-board sounds. ... in which case ... him playing manual left hand bass and accordion with right hand is LIVE, however playing with styles is NOT live (due to self/company made sequencer/partial sequencer tracks) in your opinion - just asking to get a better feel for what most will consider live versus play along. Somebody who is primarily a piano player will tend to understand „live“ in a strict way, so even using a style would mean that it‘s not 100% live even though he does a lot with the hands. If we focus purely on the arranger segment, I guess „live“ would accept using styles, but not midi files. Moreover, I think a self-made midi file is to be judged completely differently from using a third-party midi file, even if both is not live. So I guess the term „live“ alone is not helpful, I prefer a more detailed description of what percentage is handmade and how active both hands are playing - maybe even feet, all the better...
