I owned a KN2600 about a year ago. For sometime, I wanted to experiment patching vocals encoded in sd-audio format so that it can be sd-synchro played.
Problem is I stayed in Malaysia and no distributor here sells the sz-cb7 kit. I also found websites in USA and UK only sell to their local area respectively. Being desperate, one day I came across a USB reader/writee BN-SDCAPE in the Singapore airport and bought it without thinking. Knowing that Technics has ended its products on keyboards, it will be very hard to get a set of sz-cb7 or a copy of the sd-jukebox v2.4. I am still looking deep into the website to get a copy of the sd-jukebox 2.4.... Can some one help to guide me?

I won a bid from Ebay 1-Sep. It was shipped in the form of registered air parcel from UK. It was expensive too. Unfortunately it never arrive till today 13-Oct. Maybe the HW(Sd reader) was the problem for the local custom..

Could someone from this forum sell a copy of the CD rom(wt serial no.) to me? I can pay thru paypal. I really need help!

Chop,

I understand what your trying to do but
believe me its more trouble than its worth.
The audio kit I couldnt do without, but for different applications.
By the way no other sd reader/writer as far as I know works 100% with the KN2600.

Cheers Barry

How important is this SZ-CB7 to have for the KN7000? I know of one that has the USB Reader/writer included.

it is needed to put digital audio on an sd card that can then be played on the kn7000 with playlists like midi files and also be synced to the sequencer.

Thanks VERY much, Alec. This is something we all have to buy, right and not passed around free?

One more thing, Alec - I have a SanDisk installed in my computer for my digital camera to load pictures. Will this work in place of the SZ-CB7?

one use is karaoke cd or dvd. Original arrangements don't depend on repetitive patterns and 7k lead voices work surprisingly well with recordings of real instruments. You lose left hand control naturally but can sound "just like the cd" which some people like.

With earlier machines I used to use a portable diskman, then a tiny 1GB mp3 player into line in, with the 7k it's very much more convenient getting the track you want if you are that way inclined, since the correct audio track can be loaded with the sequencer, even if the sequencer is just a control track to automatically change lead voices and effects without an actual played lead.
