I spent over an hour on this keyboard last Friday.

Again, I’m not a piano player, but what I couldn’t figure out was that arranger functions and sound were minimal at best.

What is Yamaha trying to accomplish with Clavinova?

Not sure what they are tying to accomplish but here’s my experience. I saw a CVP107 being played and demoed at a state fair and decided to buy one because the piano section of it sounded great and it looked fun to play. At the time I also had a grand piano, When the CVP307 came along I upgraded to it. I sold the grand piano because I was tired of having it tuned and regulated 3 times per year. I don’t regret selling the grand the Clavinova never goes out of tune. smile

The 705 has a psr s950 inside.. or comparable..
The 709 has a tyros 4/5 inside...

Many styles however are refit to sound minimal and in combination with piano sounds..

I don’t remember completely but I believe there’s the equivalent of a PSR 3000 in the CVP307.
