Charles, Hope it works out for you. As I said there is a learning curve. I played about with it for ages before trying to set up my own stuff. Every word in the instruction book is necessary. I found I had to write myself a simplified descriptive flowchart to make sure I did things in the correct order. However I had only recently got the Genos so was trying to learn both of them at the same time. 😃

Carol are you using it in a dual manual organ comfiguration?

And if so, where is your tablet placed, i would imagine that having it behind the genos is to far to reach?

Bacchus, I use it with a single keyboard. I have utilised a kitchen tablet holder which is held under the Genos music stand. Prior to this I used the free space on the right of the Genos, where I put a rubber angled tablet holder which I had elevated on a rectangular tablet speaker. Basically using what was already in the house. You need it within tapping distance. I think people with the dual keyboard put it on a mike stand tablet holder. The tablet is used with 2 wires coming from it.
Cheers Carol

This is the stand I use. I can bring it forward or slide it back to be flush with the music stand.

Thanks for the link Jim.. but we didn’t discuss much in that topic, as we where all rather unknowing... i would love to see a link to your write ups discussing your experiences..

My biggest worry is that in a 2 keyboard setup kronos/genos the tablet runnng the software will get way in the back becomming unreachable...

Same when using a vpc1 <just keys no other controlls> Under the Genos..

Also wondering, do you comnect a 2nd keyboard to the Genos midi in. Or to the tablet over (usb)midi?

Thank you Carol..

I have been using my ipad (and macbook) from a microphon(k&m) tablet holder... with a 2 keyboard setting it is way to unconvenient having to reach out that far..

This is actually the reason, i am planning to cut my setup back to a single keyboard(which must be 88 keys) so i can much more easilly use my macbook and ipad apps..

Now if i could figure out a way to have an ipad easilly reachable with a 2 keyboardsetup... that would change things for me...

Hi Bachus,
I am short, which means short arms, and although I would love a 2 keyboard setup, I realised it would be a "bridge to far" for me. I use an iPad Pro with ForScore sheet music which rests on the music rest with the v-console tablet resting on the tablet holder to the left or right of it. I can bring the v-console nearer to me or push it back out of the way. We all have to find our best way around these positional problems as the keyboard manufactures don't really offer any viable solutions. On a normal piano the music is right in front of you but for some reason Organ and keyboard players have to have superman/woman eyesight!.
Cheers Carol

Hi Bachus,

Jim shared his experience with V-Console in the following PSR Tutorial threads, and I noticed you posted on these 2 threads as well:
V-Console thread 1
V-Console thread 2

You asked: Also wondering, do you comnect a 2nd keyboard to the Genos midi in. Or to the tablet over (usb)midi?
https://www.tyrosmagic.com/v-console-cable-kits describes the USB/MIDI cables needed for 2 keyboards and a pedal (see V-Console cable kit 4). It looks like all the keyboards and pedal are connected directly to the Windows 10 tablet either through USB for Tyros5/Genos or USB to MIDI converter cables for older keyboard/pedal that do not have USB connection.

Thanks,
Paul
