I know we have a lot of members in Florida who post regularly. Anybody in danger path?

We are on the east side of the state, so a little rain and wind but nothing compared to what the folks in the panhandle are going to get.

Looks like the first time a 'male' hurricane is going to do some damage in years.......

Both Randy aka Saxxman and Scott Lagnloff live in the panhandle. I've been in touch with Saxxman and they most likely will be evacuating the area.

I live 100 miles South of Tampa, on the coast, and it is passing us now. I don't like to see anyone hit, but in 2004, Charley was steaming up the coast toward Tampa when a pressure ridge moved it right into Punta Gorda. So far, a few bands are close, but staying out in the Gulf.

Our latest hurricane alert says Peak Wind Forecast is 15-25 mph with gusts to 30 mph. I hope this is the worst it gets. We are on the west side of the storm so will get the lightest hit.

Scott, we have similar winds forecast for this Friday, and for me, I love it - great sailing weather.

Donny, there is an enormous amount of sensationalism that always takes place with the weather prognosticators - you know that! smile Get a tall glass of ice cubes and cover the ice with honey bourbon.

Scott, the best of luck, but don't get caught with your drawers down with a last minute shift like we did. Stay vigilant.
