If you are still in the "Florida Pan-Handle"... pack up and head north ASAP. Can anyone say "Category Four?" Twelve foot surge potential will flatten just about everything in it's path on the coast. Poor folks in SC and NC are going to get more torrential rain and they are already water-logged.
Praying for your safety.

Hi all,
coming from the south of the U.K. I can remember our great storm of 1987. I believe that winds reached a gusting peak of 127mph but I do not remember any excessive rain and that is what is causing a great deal of damage in the way of flooding. I see only today that Majorca has been devastated by excessive rain and flooding. Seems beyond belief doesn't it. This world of ours is changing and changing fast.
To any of you that meet storm Michael, please stay safe.

It missed us, thank goodness. We have family staying with us from Panama City at the moment. We still don't know if their house was demolished or not yet. It may be weeks before they get electricity over there.
