That may be true, but I'll bet the people in the Carolinas who listened to the prognosticators when Florence was about to go through are glad they did ...
Once again we will be praying that the prognosticators have overstated what could be ...
Be happy you will be sailing and not bailing ...

Tony, I'm always happy, especially when I'm sailing.

Chas, yes, Diki lives in Destin, or he did when I saw him there about 9 years ago.

I just checked the Wunderground forecast for Destin and the highest predicted winds will be about 40 mph tomorrow around noon time - not a big deal for this part of the world, and those winds are very short in duration, maybe 3 hours at most, then it's back to 10 MPH for the remainder of the week.

Gary I think your very misinformed...
Michael could be a Category 4 storm when it makes landfall, NHC says

If you are still in the "Florida Pan-Handle"... pack up and head north ASAP. Can anyone say "Category Four?" Twelve foot surge potential will flatten just about everything in it's path on the coast. Poor folks in SC and NC are going to get more torrential rain and they are already water-logged.

Praying for your safety.

Donny, I didn't say that it wasn't - just that it was not going to hit Scott and Dicky that hard. Get those reading glasses fixed.
