If concerned about the keybed, you can always purchase something like this.

http://kawaius.com/product/mp11/

Problem is you’ll pay two to three times as much as the 560 and will be missing many of the features of the 560. 😊

I did read in one article that Casio uses the Fatar 100 keybed. Don’t know if that’s true or not.

We what ever is more important to the player a Great feeling Keybed or a few features..you always get what you pay for.

It depends on what kind of player you are and what kind of keys you like. I don't play weighted piano keys and they would be a deal-breaker for me. But that's what a lot of people equate with "better keys".

Seems 88 key stage pianos are popular among musicians who gig. We have always had some type of piano to play for home enjoyment.

Turns out, for us, the 560 fits the home entertainment needs and is also a possibility for a gigging board someday.

To bad that the 560 does not have the much better style engine of the MZ-x500... nor the much better sounds for arranger styles of the latest keyboard range from Casio

Casio needs to combine the px-5s(laso the daw integration), CTx sound engine, MZ-x interface, xwg synth engine.... with an 88 key with aftertouch .. making it the perfect 88 key for gigging..

Bachus,

Good points.

What you’re suggesting might run a bit more than what I paid for the 560, and in the end, the 560, for us is a home entertainment keyboard...WITH THE POTENTIAL ...to be a gigging keyboard.

Also, if I intended to use a weighted keybed(simulated or otherwise) for gigging, I think I would be fine with 61 - 73/76 Keys keyboard...less size and weight.

It’s been a while since I played my Genos. That said, I’m beginning to think I do prefer a keybed similar to the 560 over my Genos keybed. This isn’t a criticism of my Genos keybed...but it is different.

Nearest analogy I can provide is that, for most of my life, I’ve been an acoustic string player; guitar, mandolin and banjo....to include upright bass.

I own electric guitars but never felt as connected to them as I do to my acoustic instruments.

Maybe it’s the same deal with keyboard beds?

Offcourse it will be more expensive..
And a tidy bit heavier too, for the added build quallity..

I guess it would cost 50 % more then the 560..
maybe even double
But thats still less then half the price of a genos or nord stage..

But i have come to the conclusion that there is only one way to get the best of both worlds 88 key/piano and arranger in a single instrument... and thats the upcomming cvp 809..

And else... combine a top 88 key stage piano or workstation with a ketron sd90 module..
