Hello my name is Bradley, i'm from The Netherlands, i'm 27 years young/old (depends on how you look at it) and i play keyboard (among guitar/bass/drums)
Started out on a Casio CTK-100 graduately ended up at Technics for many years, had them all up until the 6000. Ventured in to Roland and Korg territory a few times but couldn't become friends with them so Then it was time for Yamaha, and i never let go of that brand, playing multiple tyros' (Tyrosses?) and i still own a few PSR models now and i got the chance to even do a short "Demonstration" during the first ever Genos event in The Netherlands last year. I'm hoping to own one one day.
However, my main board for now is still a Technics, the KN-920! Still has some incredible orchestral sounds.
I hope to interact with you in discussions and maybe we even see eachother on YouTube channels (Mine is found if you type in BradgeMusicTube)
Bye for now

Welcome, Bradley ... I'm Tony and I am only 50 years older than you ... I currently gig with a KORG Pa900 but still have my kn6000 ... technics boards were always ahead of the curve ...
Yeah, Technics Keyboards always were ahead of the time, but i still think that when that Tyros VS KN-7000 stuff hit the market that the Tyros was way better! Although up until the 6500 they were market leaders and their Operating System is to this day stlil one of the best i've ever come across it's on par with the system used on the Casio MZ-X range!
Nice to meet you Tony at the young age of 77! It's nice to read that you are still playing gigs. Keep it up!

Welcome to Synth Zone buckle up and get ready for a great ride and a wealth of information and friendliness between arranger keyboard professionals and hobbyist..
Welcome aboard, from the swamps of Louisiana. I had several Technics, but I've had several of everything. You will like it here; it is addictive.
I hope it is addicting!
One thing i already love about this plays is that it's packed with people well into their 60s 70s and even 80s! You just get a certain friendlyness from people at that age group that you don't get from most of the 20-30 year old arrangerplaying people like myself! of course there are exceptions, but most of the time i just like "The elderly" more hehe

Welcome to SZ. I’ve learned a ton here and have made some good friends too. I play Yamaha, Korg and Ketron arrangers but I’ve never had the opportunity to try a Techniques though. I heard lots of good things about them though especially from my wife who dated a “great” keyboardist who played a Technics KB. Just for the record, she dated him way before we were married

It not the keyboard, it's the keyboardist.
I could've understand you not trying a Technics if your wife dated the guy when you were married Luckily that's not the case!
You should definitely try and at least once in your lifetime play a Technics KN2000, wonderful machine with a great interface and seriously great sounds, even today! Won't hold up against a Genos of course but i wouldn't say that it sounds worse than lets say a PSR-9000
Hope to make some friends as well! Although traveling might be a bit too much i hope to get nice contacts here!

You are 100% correct about the wide spread of age groups who participate here. A great site to learn what's new or coming down the "pike"... rumors of new arrangers and devices... then every now and then, a musical tour-de-force by one of our resident performing arranger artists. Glad you are here. ----Dave Rice
I am from the Netherlands to, orriginated in Limburg, but now live in Den Helder. I have seen a few of your video's. They are full of emotions about what you say..
Enjoy your stay on these forums
