I think they should if they use it judiciously. I mean that using a solo trumpet with a guitar controller may have an unsettling visual effect on people. whereas, suitable accomp with strings, accordion, etc would be ideal. The Midjay or the SD40 or SD90 brings so much to the table.

Bachus:-

Simple answer with a complex solution:- They don't know about it nor about what it can do, nor have we done enough to SHOW and PROMOTE these to the public (in my opinion).

We hope KETRON USA's mission of taking the products to the END-USERS may just resolve this. Also folks like you sharing these links with prominent musicians will go a long way. It's one thing to say you know about a product and discover it's not for you (not much we can do there). But if you don't even know it exists nor such capabilities and features exist in a product that can benefit you, then there is a problem.

AJ, consider integrating a 1/4" signal to midi input, like the ones on harmonizers? That way guitar players can plug their favorite axe straight into it.

Dave,

You mean like what CASIO did on the MG-510, but rather than having this inside the guitar, have this inside the module?

Thanks,

AJ

Hi AJ,
I'm not familiar with the Casio, but all the modern vocal harmonizers seem to have a direct 1/4" input that triggers harmony. Electro Harmoniz makes pedals that track guitars into synth/piano/organ sounds too.

Just a thought ... since the technology exists.

Hi AJ,
Very nice sounding.
I don’t know if you have any knowledge of the Fishman
Triple Play. It is a wireless midi guitar system. The receiver
Is a usb dongle that plugs into a PC or whatever you are using
As the sound source. I’m curious if I can just plug the triple play
Receiver into one of those 3 usb inputs shown on your unit and have
it work the same as the Roland rig shown in the video.
UD also has a triple play and can maybe help here explaining what I’m asking
in case I’m not making myself clear.
Jim

Yup - I loves me, my Godin Montreal Triple Play. I think you'd need this to interface the two:

>>>>> you know, the more I think of it - I don't ever use this piece. I plug directly into the computer or iPad when I want the midid sounds. I'm going to put it in the for sale section.
