Great deal ! Love my two also. Best PA system for portability and sound quality I ever owned.

Anyone using the JBL Eon Ones that have used the Bose Compact and/or Maui LD5s. How does the JBL compare to the Bose or Maui?
I have had more different to many to list here,.. including the two mentioned.. JBL Eons Blows them both away sound wise & coverage are superb IMO Steve no contest and with more flexible options!

Steve,
I have a friend who bought the Yorkville EXM440 Line Array (+$1000) and he couldn't believe the sound I was getting.
Originally, another friend wanted to purchase a unit for his restaurant where I perform. I had no interest, but I told him I would take my keyboard to the store and demo for him. After listening we left with 2 units - 1 for me and 1 for him. Everything fits inside the base and with the transporter cover with wheels, and chord storage it is a 40lb self contained unit.
The original unit fit all my needs even larger venues. Based on Bose's advice I ran 2 cables from the keyboard to 2 channels on the JBL I had a chance to purchase another at a bargain price so I went for it. I am now a "stereo convert" for my Tyros.
If you have a Guitar Center near by give it a try. You have to act fast at this price.
Thanks for the feedback on the JBLs. Looks like an 11 mile trip to Guitar Center is in order. That’s some testimony you guys have written!
Maybe I should just stop coming to SZ instead. Every time someone talks gear at discounted prices I get gear lust. I need another system like I need a hole in the head.
Guitar center will probably have 1 unit. For the demo run two cables (left and right from the keyboard to L/R Ch 3 and Ch 4 in the JBL. Set that channel at about 1 o'clock and master volume at about 2-3 o'clock for a starting point.
I see Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, Sweetwater, Amazon has their price at ($764.10)the discounted price also for the next couple of days, and the rebate slip for the free transporter case ($100 value).

I had two Bose Compacts/now two Bose S1’s.
Both systems are good. I like the sound of the S1’s over the Compacts. I use the S1’s when I go out by myself...easier for me to transport than the JBL Eon One.
The Eon One goes out when my wife and I gig...no need for a mixer.
The Eon One has a warm, wonderful sound. It’s abit bulky for me to transport. You may want to consider the transport bag as well....for easier transport.

Hey guys that are using two units in stereo.... As with any array unit with wide angle sound, what about sound cancellation? Yes it will have some with overlay of waves.. You may not notice it , but it will be there.

No one has ever noticed any cancellation, including me. Of course there won't be where I'm sitting! I went from two BIG Boses, to two Compacts. Then to two Maui 5s. Now have FOUR Maui 5s, and I plan to hook them all up at the same time some day, just because.

I would think the units running in mono with exact sound would yield sound cancellation more than in stereo.. I think if you polled users of the Bose that were critical about the sound , they will tell you it is there.... Maybe not critical in most venues. It is not that the sound is muted across the board but frequencies are missing that leave holes in the sound overall. Array was designed to have coverage in mono and isolated to designated areas.

I can only speak from experience. For years I used conventional speakers in stereo and did have to be careful about noise cancellation. Since going to the line array systems it has not been a problem for me at all.

Yes. There are spots in the room where the bass drops out. It's a freaky, but actual physical effect of two similar sound waves that intersect. Two people can be standing side by side, and one will hear the full sound, and one will hear an anemic, lifeless tone. Actual physics. Not opinion.

I’m guessing you’re right. However, one is almost too bulky for me to handle.
The free transporter cases with wheels (self contained package) make them much easier to transport.
No problem for Steve. He's is in great shape.

One little tip when you are using the transporter dolly and cover,....you will need a strong BUNGEE approx 4foot find them in Lowes or zhome Depot to go around the cover speaker and under the dolly so you can life both the dolly & speaker up from the top handle,....for example up a curb, step, etc,....it's a must have. Then when removed at the gig it can easily be stored in the included JBL cover side pouch. Don't leave home with out it.

I never had to use a bungee. The cover is attached to the dolly with 4 clips. It also has Velcro flaps on all sides that secure it. When you lift the speaker by the handle, there is no weight on the dolly.

first thing I did was cut off all that stuff, velcro, straps, 4 clips. It also has Velcro flaps etc, too much of a pain in the ass to use on off for sure....bungee 1,2,3 done!!

I didn't want to have to deal with the JBL dollies so I gor TUKI covers. Lift the units from the car on my R&R cart. works good for me. Just used them for two outdoor jobs with another coming this week and both myself and the people I'm playing for enjoy the sound.
BTW. I always run my master of full and then adjust my channel volume , ususally about 2 o'clock. Let the amp have all the headroom it needs, no clipping that way.
Great units especially in stereo !!!
