I know, I know, I know.
Gary you are always told you sound like Dean Martin. wink
However. Yesterday I listened to an old tune and swear to God it sounded like Gary was singing it ...

The style for that song is actually on all later Yamaha KB's.
Michel V. covered it on the Tyros ...

Who knows. Maybe you'll give it a try Gary....?

Enjoy
Eric

I've never heard Dino in Gary's voice, but Roger, definitely ...

But both share a love of fine uhhh, beverages smile. In fact, Dean Martin once remarked that he knew he had cut himself shaving 'cause his eyes cleared up. Makes no sense but the visual image is hilarious smile.

Eric, you are not the first person to tell me I sound like Roger Whitaker. The very first person was my loving wife, followed by lots of ladies when I performed that song. The last time I performed it, I used my trusty S-950 and used the onboard recorder to capture the song. Here's my rendition of The Last Farewell. I recorded this about 3 years ago during a live performance, using an onboard style.

Thanks Eric, and others, for reviving those fond memories,

Gary cool

Thanks, Eric... for sharing. Whitaker was a first class act in my books. I agree that Gary has that quality in his vocals. I also agree... Dean and Gary are not vocal twins... LOL! I'm not sure about Whitaker... bet he would enjoy his brother Gary's company! Like the rest of us do!

Thanks Dave. Ironically, at my age he was still working a hectic schedule and drawing huge crowds in the UK. He just recently retired, as did I. smile

All the best,

Gary cool

While we are on the subject of Gary I want to give him a shout out and say thank you. Recently he posted he had some formal wear clothing i.e. silk shirts, ties, vests that are great for gigging. Short story his sizes would fit me, so he sent me about about 10 items of clothing that are real classy looking items. 2 of the fancy shirts were never even out of the box and are brand new. All he asked was that I pay shipping charges, it’s some of the best $12 I ever spent.

Thank you Mr. Diamond:)

Gary it is a long time since I heard Roger Whitaker, Eric is right, I knew you had a unique voice, not the norm, but could not place it. It is a good voice, but it is only part of you.

The giver and helper part of you place you right up there with the best. Whenever Ed and I met our favorite subject was always Gary D.

Thank you for being who you are my friend, John C.

Thanks John. I was hoping to meet up with you on my next trip to the sunny south, but I think my long distance drives and sails are over - too many heath problems.

Thanks again, everyone,

Gary

Yes, Gary, your rendition is great; you always share some joyful atmosphere with your singing, I guess, this is a part of your success.
