Bernie,
I bought the iPad pro(the large one) when it first came out and have not had a single regret. I use it only for my gig PDF lead sheets. I have not looked at the current versions of the iPad pro.

I use two programs for reading the PDFs. One is UnRealBook and the other is GoodReader. Both do a wonderful job but I have found I like UnRealBook the best.

For my backups I use a program called Imazing. There version I use is free but you can upgrade it if you need or want the added features.

FYI: I now have the Ketron SD40 and am using a 49 key M-Audio controller with it. I like it a lot and it is very reliable. I got the one with nothing on it but what the factory puts on it.

Hi Deane
I am currently using UnRealbook for my lead sheets on my old Ipad with no problems at all, and use Mobilsheets Pro in my Pro 12 Android, so I will leave these as is. I have M-Audio 61, Novation 61 SL MKII, and Behringer UMA25 for controllers, but favor my Hammond SK1 for use with the SD40. I am happy you are getting on with your SD40.

I have not heard of Imazing, will check it out.

Donny,
I will be using my new SD40 for gigs after Christmas. Right now I am using my Yamaha S975 for all my Christmas gigs. I will video one of my SD40 gigs.

It looks good if you can easily upload files from your pc without iTunes, as it says. Does it?

Having updates on a pc is getting old..
Having updates in the cloud accesible everywhere is the answer

And if your house burns down, you still have your data saved in the cloud..

A valid point as far as backup is concerned, but I am looking at Audiobus 3,Camelot Pro, and Imazing. I am trying to be careful of duplication and wasting limited iPad capacity.

Camelot pro, offers the same as audiobus with midiflow..
Audiobus offers much much more, but is less straightforward..

Camelot pro only supports au units... and not the dsp ones
Audiobus also allows the connection of daws to eachother

In my vision, if you have audiobus, you dont need camelot pro
Unless you aim of integrating your ipad with a pc/mac daw.. and another camelot pro client on them.. or if you have hardware specifically supported by camelot.. which currently only supports synthesizers and high end workstations
