We saw the movie “The Mule” today. During some of the movie they played the tune “More Today and Yesterday” both the Charles Earland organ version and the original by Spiral Staircase. Chas the Charles Earland version reminded me the rendition you posted of it about a year ago. Now I know where you got your inrpsiration to play and record that tune. As soon as I heard the first few notes, I thought reminds me of Chas’s version. Arturo Sandoval did the soundtrack for the album from the movie.

That’s a great tune for sure.
Yes we are enjoying the Florida sun! Temps have been real nice. Looks like you guys are dodging the big snow storm that’s headed east.

Chas is OK...just the maladies many in our age bracket have. Great song....great rendition. Chas' version, with a fabulous drummer and a fat, bald, short little "hick" guitar player would be BETTER. Not taking away from this version...LOVED IT.
I play this song every night I work and have for 25 years....close to this arrangement.
Sorry for the delayed response....just got back from 30 straight hours in studio for Ford trucks.
Donny, thanks for the Joey find....my preference of the two fine renditions.
I was working on “More Today Than Yesterday” got a few short parts done (rough)...... it's still a work in progress and fun to create and arrange, adding parts, etc,. I Will hopefully be finished one of these day in the future..

It not the keyboard, it's the keyboardist.

Sounds great. I would raise the volume of the vocal just a bit, especially right at the first. Seems balance is better later. Excellent production and of course your vocal is outstanding!

Thanx Don appreciate the listen as I said it was a rough cut that I am not over the moon with but acceptable for now to contribute to the original post. Would love to hear a "countryish" version by you sometime too...? Take care
