Just got Information back from LD Maui Company...Using a pair of the New version Maui 11g2 speakers. Go from the left and right from the Mixer Mains outs to the Line in's L/R on the Maui 11g2...Then one cable (XLR) using the send out to the Line in of the second Maui 11g2...ALL STEREO buttons Light on...Works Perfect. Thanks Harold

I have been using 2 Maui LD 5s for close to two years with a Yamaha MG mixer and my Genos.....sound is amazing.

Before, I had 4 Bose Compacts, sounded OK but lack power, at one place I connected all 4 and was not doing near the job that my 2 LD5s alone can do in the same place.
Also with the Yamaha MG Mixer.

If I change again speaker system, is going to be another LD 5s or their eventually replacement.

I won't get into a pi$$ing contest, but I have to say this:
The extra wide dispersion of the Bose gear actually reduces it's effectiveness when using multiple units. I found that with a pair, if they were too close in proximity, led to cancellation, and a poorer sound then using just one, correctly placed.

Stereo "can be" a wonderful addition to some sounds (I love my vocal harmonies panned hard L/R), but speaker placement, and gain staging is crucial to get the best result. I think the Bose compact has been misunderstood by many, since it's debut. When used as suggested ... it performs beautifully. I can only imaging how much sound you actually LOOSE when using 4 units in the same space. Dropouts are a real concern, and the end result is crippling to your overall coverage.

With that said, I'm glad you're happy with your LD sound. I'm sure it has a lot to do with the sound dispersion, and I'm glad it's working better for you.

I do have four Maui 5's, but have never used them together and never expect to.
One set remains at my regular venue and the other set is ready for extra jobs.
While still having great dispersal they are slightly more directional than the Bose.
They also have more power, deeper bass, more e.q.s, inputs and outputs. Even Bluetooth.
And they are half the price.
After using Bose Compacts for many years, I find a distinct improvement with the Mauis.
