I was wondering..... Can you add genos or s970 voices to a S670 to user or usb drive yes or no? Let's say you wanted to take a Golden trumpet sound or shake trumpet, etc, etc, from the S970 or Genos copy it and add to the S670 user sounds and play them within the S670 with a style, etc,...?
You certainly can't exchange the underlying samples by simply copying the voice to USB. You can only add samples by installing voice packs. You also cannot play an SA2 voice in a keyboard that isn't made for SA2 voices.
UPDATE:....someone was nice enough to send me some Voice files to use on my S670 which work flawlessly and I guess that answers my question in addition to that with some fantastic Genos & S970 style conversions pretty much this S670 arranger is becoming a suedo GENOS Monster WOW!!

If the voices use the same samples, it will work, if you are looking for new samples it doesn‘t work.
I was just looking for a few extra voices and may I say they work amazingly well in the S670 I am not talking SA voices,....just some missing ones I have always used thru the years on my previous Yamaha models.... I now have triple the sounds to choose from vs the factory ones. in conclusion...the S670 gotta be the best bang for the buck of any arranger kb on the market. There I said it!!
Thanx all...
that said, I can't wait to buy a Genos in 2029 should be able to scoop one up on ebay for under $1000.00 by then..

By then Arrangers will have evolved into what arranger players have always wanted them to be; an MP3 player with a transpose button. The TOTL model will also have pitch and timing correction for vocals OR a feature which will allow you to just type in the lyrics, choose from a selection of voices, and it will generate the vocals FOR you. We will no longer have to hear "here it is, mistakes and all" or "I did it in one shot". However, I have three predictions:
1. Fran will still figure out how to defeat the system, especially the pitch/timing feature
2. Bachus will declare the system PERFECT if only it would take selfies of you during your performance.
3. Donny will question when the new model will be released the day after the initial roll-out.
And finally.....
NO, I AIN'T DEAD YET!

Chas that’s some of the best news I’ve heard recently. Nice to read your post!
Me? I figure based on 3 recent deaths of long time friends and acquaintances the oldest 69 years of age I’m happy have a Genos. I have to admit though I’ve done a few gigs here in Florida and the s970 did a fine job. Why didn’t I use the Genos? Just didn’t want to haul it on our road trip so it’s up north.

I'm trying to remember the last time I actually saw an arranger for sale in any music store in my local area. Yet they must be selling, as they, Yamaha especially, have been adding new models at a fairly decent pace.
Korg and Yamaha must also be making a decent profit, and IMO, that's a good thing. Otherwise, they truly would die out.
Chas my buddy. It's been awhile. Glad you're not dead
