Wow, we are having some bad weather. Raining so hard you can't see, lightening, hail, tornadoes. More rain on the way for several days.
No damage to us yet. Power out about five miles away though.

The Arkla-Tex sure looks rough on radar for the next couple of days. Hope your commute to Ernest's doesn't require a Chris Craft or an Army Duck! Stay dry if possible.

Same here - lots of thundershowers, a tornado touched down last week, hail floods, but thus far, we've managed to escape the bad stuff. If we loose power, I have an emergency generator system that powers the entire house.

Update: Nine tornadoes were confirmed in the area Wednesday. Thousands still out of power, including the court house. Multiple schools closed from Houston to Arkansas, mostly because of high water and/or no power.
The Red River is above flood stage here, and still rising. More rain on the way throughout the weekend.
Sheriff has called us auxiliary deputies out to help with road closures and evacuations.

And I was getting bummed out because the local 15 day forecast shows cloudy and showers ... Shame on me !!!

I can think of lot's of folks our age... who don't need to be "out there" attempting to rescue others, directing traffic or other duties of a deputy. Can you spell, "Heart Problems"... my talented friend? As Tony says, (knowing you are gonna do it or die trying)... Be careful out there, Don!

I mostly drive the patrol vehicle around and wave at people. McDonald's lets us eat free! Get to drive really fast when doing funeral escorts.
We are getting more rain today. That's ENOUGH. Golf courses and boat launches are all closed. Gotta have something to do!
