Wow! $2,600 for a bicycle. I have a 10-speed bike that I am giving away because I no longer have the lung capacity to ride it on Maryland's hilly terrain. It was a great mode of transportation while I was living on my boat in the Florida Keys, though. I rode it about 10 miles every day I was in Marathon Key.

By coincidence, I bought a stationary bike yesterday at a garage sale for $25.
It is in new condition, only used for a coat rack.
Not sure I can get on it but someone will.

I have one, but it's very uncomfortable so I'm thinking of buying this one and giving the other one away.

Going back to the mid-80s and I was in my mid-30s I was participating in triathlons. Swim, bike and run in that order. Never did the Ironman distance but did many of the so-called Olympic distance tri events that consisted of a 1-mile swim, a 25-mile bike race followed by a 6.2-mile run.

Where I'm going with this is I spent close to $2000 on a Cannondale lightweight triathlon bike. I know other guys who spent quite a bit more but $2000 was more than enough for an amateur like myself.

Out of curiosity after reading this post I wondered what Cannondale is selling some of their tri bikes for. I was surprised to find one for $10,499.

Cannondale Tri Bike $10,499.

The most exercise I ever got out of my exercise bike was when I hauled it out to the curb for trash pick-up.

I just made a cardboard "FREE" sign for my recumbent bike and inclination table. The last time I did this was for my weight bench and it sat at the end of the driveway for two days before someone grabbed it.
