Not sure where you got your information but the Genos is one of Yamahas bestselling TOTL arrangers ever, (They could make them fast enough when they introduced and still sells well even though it has been out some time. (Unlike the T5 which was an unmitigated disaster with only the 76 notes helping it to save face) That they introduced a MOTL model based on the TOTL model a couple of years later is how Yamaha has always worked. NOTE: Don’t base your experiences on the US Arranger market as it is so minuscule that it hardly registers in the sales figures, (In spite of the size of the country) and is also the reason why US customers are completely ignored when it comes to features that US customers say they would like. (Pianos, Workstations & Synths are the US staple) Arranger primary sales markets are Asia & Europe, with most design and development split between Germany, Japan and the UK.
