Don't be so defensive Donny. Miles muted trumpet (and flugelhorn) is one of the most recognizable in all of jazz. As far as I'm concerned, that was a legitimate criticism. I've listened to Miles for fifty years and I never heard him play a single note with vibrato on it. Besides, I think it was more of an observation than a criticism.

Maybe you could just enjoy or not his performance on genos.

What, so now we're only allowed to say what YOU approve of? Grow up.

Nobody was trying to yank your chain. I didn't even make the original observation, I just agreed with it. So why'd you single me out? Never mind, don't answer that.

It is nice to thank -- to give a good remark
then throw in your negative opinion.

Just saying, John C.

Donny I really enjoy the posts you send, a lot of philosophy of music. Unfortunately, this is what we have left from a forum that dealt with the net professional aspect of keyboard tools and the times when manufacturers competed with us with tools that came out frequently, and we were busy working and arguing about the quality of the tools. On them and reviews of our shows.

I'm sorry to say, but this time you act like a baby. Let's start by owning a genos and thinking it's an amazing instrument and I loved the atmosphere very much. I even liked the sound of the trumpet, but if you play miles Davis then the sound should be authentic and the piece you uploaded is not like that.

BTW the vibrato can be reduced or turned off on most KB's including Genos. wink
