I'm just thinking about adding some more Country to my gig lists. Not my favorite genre but that what sells down here. I know all the old standards so not for a NH gig but something different. I know Pop and Country are intertwined these days so it doesen't have to be pure Country. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Bill, of course a lot depends on the venue/audience, but if you look for songs by Brooks and Dunn, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, I'm sure you will find some nice stuff ...

At a restaurant gig I've played songs like:
Blue Neon
We Danced
Neon Moon
The Dance
If Tomorrow Never Comes
Feels So Right

I'm sure others here can help, and DonM could give you an encyclopedia ... wink

Anything by Jimmy Buffett. Did about two dozen Buffett songs at Myrtle Beach Yacht Club back in 2012 and the owner wanted me to spend the entire winter there. I was on my way to Marathon Key, Florida - winter gets too cold for this old fart in SC. wink

Good luck, Bill,

Gary cool

Absolutely, Bill. While everyone knows Margarettaville, others that are always popular include:

A Pirate Looks At 40
Cheeseburger In Paradise
Come Monday
Son of A Son Of A Sailor
Boat Drinks
Volcano
Fins
Changes In Lattitude

and many, many more. Don't forget Zach Brown - lots of great songs that are very popular in your part of the world. Knee Deep, Toes In The Water, etc...

Good luck,

Gary cool
