One is with SK1 controlling the SD40 styles on LH with SK1 sounds and RH SD40 voices. The other is, at the push of a button, switches to full SK1 with LH accomp" cool2

great little organ sounds much better than the hammond on the nord electro5 which i have, but the piano section in nord is much much better. so it depends on what you are looking for.

I tried one of these in the store and LOVED the key action. I also like the compact size for a 61 (I don't use a bender) and light weight. It's not an arranger, I know, but I wonder how well it would MIDI to a BK-7m??

great idea for practicing..
Sweetwater's Director of Production Optimization, Daniel Fisher, demonstrates our Sweetwater-exclusive thumb drive for the Hammond Sk-Series Combo Organs. It’s filled with 150MB of Extra Voice Libraries, Custom Tonewheels, Manuals, QuickStart Guides, Tutorial Videos, and System Updates.

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/searc...

But it wouldn't be a Sweetwater Bonus unless we added even more stuff. So we've created 24, stereo, Blues/Jazz backing tracks that allow you to jam along in all 12 key signatures at both slow and fast tempos.

Enjoy the demo, and call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for more information on the Hammond Sk-1, Sk-2, Sk-73, and Sk-88. And click the link above to see the all of Sk-Series Combo Organs in hi-res detail!

OK so now after "revisiting" the Sk1, and possibly the SD40/90 module,...I have come to the conclusion that, ....and this is without calling & hearing it from Fran telling me wink WHY? am I even thinking about getting one?, why do I need it?
and what am I gonna do with it? just more stuff to look at it gather dust, and either get depressed that I ever bought it, or have to return or sell it on ebay etc, can you relate?......what the heck was I thinking? any way the new ME is working to a point,...yes the gear lust urges keep appearing inside but the new ME fights them off
and seems to be winning the battle & it feels good to save a couple of thousand dollars.
Now back to my coffee. cool2

I'm fine Chas thanx for thinking of me....
I was close to pulling the trigger on the SK1
& keeping the S670 also
but came to me senses for the reasons as described above.
