Well, I don't know, it is fine for the money, but maybe Donny has bigger fish to fry.

Yes Donny, If I remember right you were going to go with vst's and such. I almost bought a s670 from Sweetwater last week nut came to the same basic conclusion. I just need to learn how to set everything up. I've got a slew of excellent vst's. I just need to set it all up to where I can use them in real time with my 3000. I'm convinced that I really don't need more styles. More voices? I have over 8000 patches for the dx7 emulator. I have Garrentins personal orchestra, kontact player, and a whole buch of other stuff I haven't gotten close to using yet.

Donny, so you’re going to become keyboardless?
keyboardless? I will never be yes sporadic moments here and there in between for hardware gear. But there's always my computer driven keyboard programs, VST, DAW, etc, if needed. After 60 years of playing KB it's certainly in my blood, 20 years of that was "before" the invention of the arranger KB in the late 70's. This came at a time when the mesh between Bands vs DJs & computer driven music were colliding and the need for an arranger kb was very eminent & attractive to the solo player if he wanted to exist and compete in the market place financially.....Brand loyal I am not, looking back at my large list of previous keyboards I know I can play and make music at a high level & singing with each of them. Just give me a kb with piano, EP, organ, LH bass, a mic and a drum machine and I am on my way. For now I don't know what the next project or gear direction will be that's a work in progress or a breakfast discussion with Uncle Dave & Fran we will see what turns up. meanwhile if anyone is interested in this MINT Yamaha S670 deal let me know, ....have a great day, shut the auto styles off once in a while and keep playing, singing, & making music.
