Fran is a bad influence (on me). I've bought more junk after reading one of his posts smile smile. He owes me a lot of money smile. BTW, I can see the appeal of VSTi's. Sometimes when I'm messing around with my VX49 and VIP, I'm amazed at some of the gorgeous voices in that set. I've held back from buying big expensive VST libraries because of all the hardware boards I have, but they do sound nice, and with VIP it's just like having a hardware synth. Anyhow, good luck with your quest.

Chas this time there is no quest just logical thought
that makes some sense. Being I am not a "gear hoarder" anymore
once this is sold I will have a clean slate to work with
hardware wise if any. No need for dusty clutter in my room.
A computer, a Mic and 2 PA systems is all I need to
make music right now. cool2

Donny, so you’re going to become keyboardless?

I think we should not judge our needs based only on a result we need to get; some activities can be necessary for us just to keep our minds in a proper state, and playing the keyboard can be one of those things.

As for me, my views on the equipment I need change faster than I manage to make any deals, and after all I’m more or less satisfied that I kept it the way it was because you never now what idea will come to you tomorrow.

keyboardless? I will never be wink yes sporadic moments here and there in between for hardware gear. But there's always my computer driven keyboard programs, VST, DAW, etc, if needed. After 60 years of playing KB it's certainly in my blood, 20 years of that was "before" the invention of the arranger KB in the late 70's. This came at a time when the mesh between Bands vs DJs & computer driven music were colliding and the need for an arranger kb was very eminent & attractive to the solo player if he wanted to exist and compete in the market place financially.....Brand loyal I am not, looking back at my large list of previous keyboards I know I can play and make music at a high level & singing with each of them. Just give me a kb with piano, EP, organ, LH bass, a mic and a drum machine and I am on my way. For now I don't know what the next project or gear direction will be that's a work in progress or a breakfast discussion with Uncle Dave & Fran we will see what turns up. cool2
meanwhile if anyone is interested in this MINT Yamaha S670 deal let me know, ....have a great day, shut the auto styles off once in a while and keep playing, singing, & making music. keys

So, I guess, Donny, you have some sort of MIDI controller in order to use it with VST. I just pictured that you follow some system that you have only one instrument in the house, which so far has been PSR-S670 which you're about to sell. Ok, I'm just curious.
