One of my ex boss's was in Italy during the war, some nights a lorry would stop, drop the tailgate and push a piano onto it, the pianist would play for his supper,
Name.-- Semprini!!!! Walter.

Hi Folks.
Whilst we are on the oldies!!
What about Geraldo. I would love a copy of.
"Hello again were on the radio again" His signature tune!
I think one of the most descriptive tunes for a band ever.
Any one got it??? Please
When Allan left Billy Cotton’s band it was in a cloud of mystery
I am sure he was sacked by the BBC, and Billy Cotton did not support him!!
Later he had a pub in London. I was down there for a Rugby League Cup Final.
(My other passion being a Wigan lad) I made a point of going to see him.
I thought he was a much underrated singer. His style for the songs he sang was
Excellent.
“It.s just the band you prefer, yes sir” Dah Dah Da Dah. I think only this side of
the pond will know what I am on about!!
Sincerely.
Joe.

Many thanks to all for the great info etc etc about the song "Somebody stole my gal"

I've started to perform the tune, it goes down great with the elderly, it's very handy to have some history of the song.

Several ladies have said it came from a film called "For me and my gal" another song in the film was "Lambeth walk"

Once again thanks to all

Kind regards

Peter
