Hi all!

Does anyone have a midi file of Petite Fleur from Acker Bilk? I believe it starts with a Tango and changes into a rhumba type beat.

Everywhere I search seems to bring up the Sidney Bechet version..

Thanks!
Nick

Nick, I would think you could easily do this with three registrations on your S-970. Yes, it does begin with Tango then seems to go into some sort or Rumba and eventually into a light swing style before returning to a Tango, yet maintains the same tempo throughout.

Good luck,

Gary cool

Nick set up your G70 or BK9 with a custom style that will change from tango to rhumba with a variation change or select two styles a tango and rhumba, with tempo lock on.. You can capture the tracks as a midi file with either keyboard.. You can also add a melody track via the 16 track sequencer..

Here is the score with chord changes..

Isn‘t the swing part missing in that score? I also think that part is rather a slow dixieland with banjo.

OK. no dixie in that version. But the third part is missing in your score, it starts with chord G7.
EDIT: yes, sort of dixie in Gary‘s version...

Nick the only sequence I found is not Acker... but maybe you can add to it.

Nick I used my EA7 and the SMF I posted.

I wrote three pads , a tango pattern , swing pattern, and a rhumba pattern.

I muted the drums in the SMF, and used the pads as my drums..

It works really well.. Maybe you can do something similar with your Yamaha (pads are needed).
