Don, after just returning to work from back surgery...I feel your pain. My leg pain and strength was shot out. I’m finally getting back to normal (whatever that is). With all the gear lifting and standing you’ve done...don’t rule out the lower back. An MRI might be a good idea. Just a thought. God Speed my friend!

I have neuropathy in my legs. No cure. Not much feeling below the knees but they tell me it won't get any higher. I don't think that is the cause of the weakness; that is caused by sitting around not using my legs much at all.
However it does affect my balance and certainly not good for a golf swing. smile
I've have only played golf once in two months, and that is about the only form of exercise I get. Changing all that as of today!

Don get yourself one of these keep it under you desk, etc,..
and 2 or 3 x a day pedal for 5 minutes or more while you are surfing the web works wonders, it's silent & adjustable tension 1-10 also....
I do it every day great for legs, knees, etc,.

I purchased this one from Amazon, great price, assembly took about 3 hours, though, mainly because I'm F*****d up in the back and couldn't take the pain for more than about 10 minutes at a time before having to take a break. I also have neuropathy, mainly from mid calf down, but the docs say surgery is not an option and if I managed to survive the anesthesia, I would probably be paralyzed from the waist down, which is exactly what happened during the first back surgery in 1975. It took five months of physical therapy to learn how to walk again.

Good luck, old friend,

Gary

I went to Bass Pro, walked around the store for 30 minutes, climbed the stairs to the second floor, had to take the elevator back down. But it's a start. Later I will do exercises in the pool.
