Hi posting after a long and I'm very much considering the sx900. Having owned quite a few arrangers over the years and I just sold my Korg PA1000 I guess the sx900 is a good upgrade and Yamaha has finally brought something fresh to the lineup and not a 970 975 upgrade. The Korg Pa1000 Issa great board and sounds awesome. But at the end I realise I'm totally a Yamaha person and just couldn't get to grips with the Korg OS. So yes I am waiting for the sx900 to arrive and interested to know how it will be priced in India. One of my main gripes with the s970 were the onboard speakers where the Korg Pa1000 was a definite upgrade. The sx900 looks fantastic on paper and sounds great on the YouTube demos but I will definitely try it out before I buy it. Excited and waiting. Who else is? Chime in pls.

Wow Rikki. Yes. Good to hear and I'm also eagerly awaiting to test drive before I buy. I rely a lot on the onboard speakers and hoping they will be the upgraded. Good to know a sub out is added. Promising.

I think I read somewhere the speakers are supposed to better, not sure where though. Only way of knowing will be when you try one.

Unfortunately I’m going to have to buy mine without actually seeing it. It’s a 7 hour round trip by car to get to my nearest store, don’t think my husband is too keen on another 7 hr drive.

Basically relying on video clips. Gather it’s going to sound better than my psrs950, which is quite a few years old now. Plus there are some interesting new functions.

Crazy us moved to Bathurst last year, now it’s a 6 to 7 hour round trip drive to get to the music store. Haha . Poor hubby.

My granddaughter gave back my pa800 with a broken key, and my pa3x picked up this weird sticky coating on the screen surround & the joystick panel, just as I was about to sell it last year. Thank goodness doesn’t affect its operation, but now kind of stuck with them. Left me in a bit of a quandry , i’ve run out of keyboard stands and space.
Actually considering selling Pa4x. Haha

The wait is too long!!! I placed my order beginning of August and it's gone a bit quiet. I'm really looking forward to this keyboard as I know this will finally be the portable/slimmed down T4 (with extras) that I have been waiting for. I am looking every day to see if there's a release date but nothing yet. I am in the UK and all I have been told is September/October.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer but,....is it me or the release of the SX900 hasn't been overwhelming hype online or talked about much as was many previous arrangers models in the past...?

Yes, I’m excited about the idea about upgrading from 950, but I’m also very down about the music business and kind of feel like “ what’s the point?”
