I use my walker that has a seat in it. Serves 2 purposes.

I found an older but very sturdy, all metal Office Chair with faded but well preserved cushions. It makes zero noise when I accidentally (or intentionally) turn as I am recording. The arm rests are solid as a rock and I didn't have to assemble a thing.

One of my better "finds" in a resale shop just north of West Mayberry.

I'm sure my needs would be significantly different if I performed to a live audience like our resident "all stars" but my "product" (A Demo CD) is intended for a limited group of possible customers.

I use a drafting-type chair from Office Depot. Height is adjustable, and it can double as a dolly. It is my third or fourth or fifth one over the past 25 years or so.
I JUST unboxed a new chair for my office. It is even more adjustable.

Ludwig drum throne, but mine has the back support attachment ...

I can set the height for sitting or as high as ' almost' standing ...

Home use Quik Lok DX749. For jobs I use an x style folding bench for ease of moving.

I am using a k&m drunthrone with backrest

https://m.thomann.de/gb/km_14058_drummersitz.htm?o=1&search=1567649170

Lots of support dor my back and a great seat for playing longer

Used a variety of hight adjustable piano benches before this, but i prefer the soft seat with the back support.

For home players office depot offers a large selection of very comfortable chairs. I have one with no arms and has wheels so I can scramble around the room.

Very comfortable for performing and wonderful build. Plus made in the USA and it beats imports hands down.
